From the Mail Bag: McCaskill and 20 other Dem Senators voted for endless war!

On Wednesday May 16th, an Amendment was introduced in the Senate which would have begun implementing a withdrawal from Iraq in 4 months and would also stop providing funds for operations in Iraq after March 31st, 2008.

I am sorry to say that my own Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill, along with 2O other Dems, voted against cloture which effectively killed the amendment.  But now we we have a clear record of where Claire McCaskill, and other Dems who were swept into office by America's anti-war majority, stand on the illegal occupation of Iraq by American military forces.

Peace & Freedom,

Postal Increase: Makes sense...sure ...like everything else.

Corporate Greed

How many are aware that Time Warner arranged for Big magazines to get postal cuts while small ones don't?

One-half million dollars. That's what the latest round of rate-juggling by the United States Postal Service will cost The Nation in the next year.

Rate increases go into effect July 15, 2007. We are fighting this increase as best we can, but even if we "win," which is a long shot, we are still facing hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional postage. Now it's time to accept the reality:

The Nation needs your help and we need it now.

Open Letter to Kentucky State Representative Tom Burch,

Hello, My name is Kimberly A. Brown.

I am writing this letter in regards to my untimely and bogus court case that I am unfortunately dealing with until this day since the last time I spoke with you in HARDIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY. My case number is 03-J-00702.

As you are aware all of my children were taken from me in July of 1999; by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services in HARDIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY. Supposedly the grounds were that I was suicidal at the time with means to do so.

Social Worker Vanessa Nickels came to my house to assist in getting a prescription for my son. Mrs. Nickels then left my residence to take care of what she claims were personal reasons. During her departure she went to the Hardin County Court and acquired a court order to remove all of my children. Upon Mrs. Nickels return, she was accompanied by the Radcliff Police.

At this time the Police physically took all five of my children from my residence and placed them in the foster care (Curtis and Diana Willia ms). Emotionally distraught I was left at my home crying and wondering what was really taking place at the time. Prior to the Police departing my residence they informed me that I had to appear in Court within 72 hours, which I did appear before at the time Judge Coleman.

I was informed that I had to abide by my case plan and I would receive my children back. I followed all of the stipulations that I was informed to do and still no children.

From the Mail Bag: Walking in Muslim shoes.

Civil Liberties

Before criticizing your neighbor, you should walk a mile in their shoes.

That sage advice stems from the Judeo-Christian wisdom of treating others as you wish to be treated. So, I am grappling with how it must feel for my dear friend Shakir Hamoodi and members of his family today when they were terrorized by secretive government agents. Shakir was in Michigan doing what he has done for several years, working on fund raising for Life for Relief and Development. It is a charitable organization set up to provide humanitarian relief for war victims and refugees. It is a Muslim charity and has raised over $50 million for Muslim victims of war so that widows and orphans among others, can have some relief. There are those in this country however that see all Muslim charities as fronts for terrorists. However, there is an important fact that you should know before allowing yourself to believe this charity is a front for terrorists. When the U.S. Army surrounded and then literally destroyed the city of Fallujah in Iraq, the Coalition Provisional government headed by Paul Bremer, contacted Life For Relief and Development and asked them to provide humanitarian assistance for survivors of Fallujah because the government trusted them. They have operated openly in the U.S. for years.

Monday morning, Sept 18th, at 9 AM there was a simultaneous raid of the headquarters of the charity in Southfield, Michigan and at Shakir Hamoodi's home in Columbia. Here, 20 federal agents disabled the security code on Shakir's garage and entered his home and surprised his older daughter and two of his sons in their living room. They were startled and frightened by these unknown armed men who never bothered to knock on their door, or to show them the warrant which they waved in front of them and then immediately put away. Their mother had already gone to work as a school teacher. When Shakir's daughter tried to call him on her cell phone they ordered her to put the phone away. They made the Hamoodi kids leave the home while they seized computers and began going through papers and files, confiscating them too. None of the feds bothered to do the decent thing and ask Shakir if he'd be willing to cooperate with an investigation into any possible illegal activity. Instead they went behind his back and waited until he was out of town.

From the Mail Bag: My Sentencing Speech

Family Services

Your Honor,

I am here today to be sentenced for a crime that was committed not by me but against me. A crime that took place on my land against myself and my family. Bullies, that came into my home and threatened that if I do not give up my rights freely I will be charged with impeding. This fact was testified to by my accuser officer Murano in family court and again in the trial of Earl Allcock. Two officers also testified to this fact at my trial.

I could not and can not, give up my rights. Too many people died for me to have those rights. I stand firm in my belief that my rights were and are still way to important to just be bullied out of them.

I went to trial and never got the right to face my accuser. Another one of my rights that just disappears. Officer Murano didn't even bother to testify at my trial. He was the one who threatened me and accused me. That seems to be all right with the court and everyone involved except for me and my family and those who know the Constitutional laws.

From the Mail Bag: Remember my prediction of falling gas prices?

Energy

Weeks ago I predicted that as the elections approached gasoline prices would plummet!

Well, today I bought gasoline for $1.99.9 per US gallon. Guess what? That's not the lowest price around Houston.

I was surprised that they started this so early! After all, there has to be a few more people whose lives they can ruin with their outrageously bloated prices!

I'll stick my neck out to venture another prediction.

Just before the election date in November, the price of gasoline will probably be around $1.00.9 a US gallon, or maybe even lower!! That is, barring another war started by their maniacal post turtle or a major hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico!

The incumbent Republican Assholes' biggest, richest owner/handlers (Big Oil) cannot let their stooges loose elections! They've got far too much invested in them. The return on their investment has far exceeded even their wildest dreams!

They all callously think that the American people are a bunch of fools.

FINALLY, the "unwashed masses" are awake to the tactics of the Children of Satan!

Of course, there are those who will fall for it...the very people that the Republican bastards screw and never kiss! They are collectively known as FOOLS!

Jim

From the Mail Bag: Taxes

Taxes

Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table at which he's fed.
Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes are the rule.
Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat.
Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries, then tax his tears.
Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways to tax his ass
Tax all he has then let him know that you won't be done till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers, then tax him some more, tax him till he's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin, tax his grave, tax the sod in which he's laid.
Put these words upon his tomb, "Taxes drove me to my doom..."
When he's gone, do not relax, its time to apply the inheritance tax.

From the Mail Bag: Recounting a fallen Marine's last days

Iraq War

In the four months since the death of my son, Sgt. Matthew J. Fenton, from injuries suffered in Iraq, I have stated many times the horror of what I saw in the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Md.

I believe that the time has arrived to tell the whole story of his death and the carnage that was inflicted on some of his fellow Marines. I do not find this easy to do, but as the death toll and injured number continues to climb, I cannot sit silently.

On April 26, Matthew, 24, was the gunner on a Humvee protecting a Marine convoy on the outskirts of Fallujah. A suicide car bomber attempted to ram his Humvee, and he got off a few shots at the vehicle. From what I have been told it is common practice for these bombers to detonate their bomb if they come under fire. Matthew was the only Marine injured in the attack. Later that same day I received a phone call telling me that Matt was seriously wounded and that it was a head injury.

The next day we were informed that Matt had been flown to Germany. Matt's mother, Diane, and I prepared to go to Germany. But in the middle of trying to get a flight, we received another call saying that he had stabilized and they were going to fly him to the United States. We were all lifted by this seemingly good news.

Diane and I flew to Washington the next day and were met by a uniformed Marine and driven to Bethesda. What awaited us there is still shocking to me now. We met with two doctors who laid everything out for us. Matthew's injury was a devastating one. Shrapnel had entered his head just above his left eye and traveled diagonally through his brain and exited the right rear.
